Treatments for shoulder tendinitis
The goal of treatment for shoulder tendinitis (tendonitis) is to get rid of the pain and restore your shoulder to its full strength. The first step of treatment starts with reducing pain and inflammation.
- Avoid using your shoulder.
- Ice can reduce swelling and pain.
- Anti-inflammatory medications like Advil, Tylenol, and aspirin.
NOTE: Ice is useful in acute or short term shoulder injuries. In many cases of shoulder tendinitis, the condition is chronic and ice is not considered helpful. Your doctor may inject steroids into the area surrounding the inflamed tendon. Long term use of steroids is associated with weakening or rupture of the tendon.
In some cases, you may be entitled to compensation for your vaccine related shoulder tendinitis. Call us, free of charge. Sadaka Associates is here to help.
